This beginner friendly class is designed to introduce you to the basics of using an overlocker through making a simple wash bag with a zip. Step by step, you will be guided through constructing a fabric pouch and shown how to insert a zip using an overlocker. You'll learn how to work neatly around right angled corners, including how to stop and start stitching with confidence. We'll also cover important finishing techniques, such as trimming overlocker tails and weaving them back into the seam using a darning needle for a tidy finish. This class focuses on building confidence with the machine in a relaxed and supportive setting, and you'll leave with a practical, reusable wash bag to take home with you. No previous overlocker experience is needed. All materials and full instructions will be provided in your workshop kit
