166-Kantha Stitched Seaglass Embroidery

Kantha is a centuries old hand stitching technique that uses a running stitch to create shapes and representational images. In this workshop Angela will teach you how to stitch beautiful sea glass shapes using tonal threads with a running stitch. Traditionally people would stitch freehand onto fabric but Angela will give you the choice of following a pattern or going freehand under her expert guidance. As you stitch you will learn about the history of kantha and how, for this technique stitch size does not matter. All materials and full instructions will be provided in your workshop kit
