094-Spicey Shibori

Shibori has its origins in Japan and involves folding, pleating and scrunching white fabric using thread and clips to create beautiful patterns after dyeing. In this workshop you will learn two different stitch resist techniques, a wrap technique and a clamp technique using a fat quarter of white cotton fabric (four different techniques in total). The workshop focuses on these four very different techniques and you whilst you do this Angela will talk you through how to dye your fabrics with turmeric at home which will give you a beautiful shade of yellow. This workshop is about creating the wrapping and stitching techniques and you can later dye your fabrics at home. All materials and full instructions will be provided in your workshop kit
